Don Pieris now works at The University of Strathclyde, continuing his research into laser-induced phased arrays (LIPAs) from his EngD. Don graduated from UoN having completed his EngD in the Optics and Photonics group between 2016 and 2022, investigating in-process inspection of additive manufacturing using laser ultrasonics. Prior to joining UoN Don graduated with an MEng degree in Aero Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
