manual_tank

A basic utility for controlling the scanning tank stages - if you get this error:

Lock file found in /etc/tank/lock Stages previosly locked, look in file for the process id Cannot open stages, quitting

it probably means manual_tank or c_scan is running elsewhere. If there has been a crash or power outage then this could be erroneous - in this case you can check:

cat /etc/tank/lock

Locked by process 4361

ps 4361

PID TTY STAT TIME COMMAND

4361 pts/0 S+ 0:01 manual_tank

If there is no running program you can safely delete the lock file.

h for help. The programme is "live" (compared with manual_stage), spacebar aborts movement (very handy - six axes is confusing).
