Few issues on this install:
- Domain name may not be registering, put applied_optics in /etc/defaultdomain or dpkg-reconfigure nis
- User login may break - it can find the 'exisiting' home directories, but will not log you in. Add 'nis' under passwd and groups in /etc/nsswitch.conf and reboot.
