Alice is a second year PhD student in the Optics and Photonics Research Group at the University of Nottingham. Her background is in Electrical and Electronic Engineering; graduating from the University of Nottingham in 2021 with a Masters of Engineering degree.

Her research area is in adaptive optics (AO), with the overall aim of increasing the imaging quality, and imaging depth, into biological tissue, using different AO techniques. This research is contributing to a wide, interdisciplinary project, called InLightenUs, which is a collaboration between the University of Nottingham, University of Southampton, University of Edinburgh and Queen Mary University of London.
